Our Membership Process

Freemasonry is relevant and needed in a world desperate for organizations dedicated to serving humanity and local communities, honorable living, tolerance, moderation, self-reliance, equality, and liberty. Your involvement starts wih chosing a lodge you would like to petition for memebership.

Use our lodge locator to decide on a lodge near you. If you would like you can contact any lodge and set up a time to meet with some of the brothers in that lodge to get a feel for the experience at that location. There may be several lodges near you and it is your choice which lodge petition.

You can make direct contact with the lodge or we will be happy to facilitate a meeting.

Help Me Make Contact

Next you need to complete a membership petition, signed by two Masons of the Lodge that you wish to apply to and who are willing, and enter the lodge you have chosen. An initiation fee, currently $110, accompanies the petition. Within approximately 45 days someone from the lodge will contact you for an interview. Your wife, friend, or parent is encouraged to attend this interview. The lodge at its next meeting will vote on your petition.

Your references will be contacted and asked to answer some general questions. This process is just so we can get a better understanding of the candidate and insure they meet our original requirements.

If your petition is approved you are on your way to becoming an Indiana Freemason.
